MANUALLY CLEANED COARSE SCREEN
MANUAL COARSE SCREENS ARE THE SIMPLEST SCREENING MECHANISMS WHICH ARE USED TO REMOVE LARGE SOLID PARTICLES FROM THE SYSTEM BEFORE ENTERING THE PLANT, IN ALL KIND OF WATER AND WASTEWATER TREATMENT PLANTS AND PUMPING STATIONS. THEY HAVE NO MECHANICAL COMPONENTS. THEREFORE, CLEANING PROCESS IS DONE MANUALLY WITH THE HELP OF A HAND RAKE. THEY ARE MOUNTED TO CHANNELS AT AN ANGLE BETWEEN 550 AND 900 DEPENDING ON THE REQUIREMENTS.
MANUAL COARSE SCREENS ARE COMMONLY USED IN SMALL WASTEWATER TREATMENT PLANTS. LARGER PLANTS WHICH USE MECHANICALLY CLEANED SCREENS FOR PRIMARY TREATMENT PURPOSES MAY ALSO PREFER TO USE MANUAL COARSE SCREENS IN OVERFLOW BY-PASS CHANNELS. THIS TYPE OF SCREEN INCREASES THE EFFICIENCY OF TREATMENT PROCESS BY ELIMINATING SOME POSSIBLE DAMAGES ON PUMPS AND MECHANICAL EQUIPMENT.
WTP ARTIMA MANUAL COARSE SCREENS ARE MAINLY MADE UP OF FRAME, SCREEN BARS, HAND RAKE AND WASTE CONTAINER (IF REQUIRED). WE USED GALVANIZED OR STAINLESS STEEL AISI 304 OR 316.

AUTOMATICALLY OPERATED SCREEN
THE V BAR SCREEN IS A AUTOMATIC VERTICAL SOLUTION OF FILTRATION DESIGNED FOR PUMP AND LIFT STATION OR CHANNEL TO PROTECT PUMPS FROM CLOGGING. WATER SCREENING IS CARRIED OUT BY VERTICAL BARS CATCHING THE WASTE. A RAKE COMES UP AND DOWN TO PICK UP THE SOLIDS MAINTAIN ON THE SCREEN. WHEN THE RAKE IS AT THE TOP, A SHOVEL EJECTS THE WASTE INTO A HOPPER THEN DISCHARGES IN A COMPACTION SOLUTION OR DUMPSTER.
THE RAKE SCREEN & GRAB TYPE MEETS THE NEED TO HAVE A SEPARATION OF THE COARSE SCREENINGS FROM WASTEWATER, WHETHER CIVIL OR INDUSTRIAL. THE MACHINE IS COMPOSED BY A SCREEN WITH A SPACING WHICH CAN VARY FROM 6 TO 40 MM BUT CAN ALSO BE MADE WITH PERFORATED PLATE. THE SCREENINGS ARE LIFTED, TRANSPORTED AND DISCHARGED USING RAKES, THAT ARE ALSO SUITABLE FOR CLEANING THE FILTRATION AREA. RAKES ARE GUIDED BY RAILS AT THE BOTTOM WITHOUT ANY BEARINGS/MECHANICAL COMPONENTS SUBMERGED BY THE RAW WATER.
